payment for goods and
 
services with credit cards, has exceeded that of checks and cash
" (Green Sheet).

        Every month, when you receive your statement, you cringe when you see how much you had to pay in
 
fees for this "privilege".  Worse yet, there always seems to be charges that you don’t understand or feel are
 
excessive. So much of it seems so confusing and, in many cases, merchants just give up trying to figure it
 
out and stop looking at their statements altogether...this could be VERY COSTLY  It's difficult to decipher
 
all the seemingly cryptic charges....unless you get educated.  I offer you $OLUTIONS.

        But, never fear, chances are that next phone call you receive or salesperson that walks thru your door
 
is another "
credit card  processing rep" with their "deal". They entice you to break out one, or more, of your

statements, they run some numbers and lo and behold, they can save you some money…..or can they?  You

don't need fluff, smoke and mirrors and rhetoric....you need honest to goodness, unbiased $OLUTIONS.

        You see, here’s the situation….credit card processing or merchant services industry can provide for a

very lucrative income
for the diligent and persistent salesperson. The problem is that because of the lure

of big bucks, it attracts numerous new sales people. Unfortunately (or fortunately for guys like me),  because

of the extremely competitive nature of the business,turnover is high and frequent.
  Consider your own

business as an example. How many reps have contacted you in the past 90 days? I’ll bet you get several a

week, don’t you? Usually, these "newbies" will hit you with their "pitch" they received from their new sales

manager after maybe a half day of training.  Or, even worse yet, you get the "deal du jour". It can be very

confusing and these guys can make it sound like a really good deal…in some cases, too good to be true

And, you know what they say about those, don’t you?  What you need is long-term viable

$OLUTIONS
 not a short-term "deal".

            If you haven’t guessed by now, yep, I’m one of "those guys". Difference is though, that I’ve been in

this business for many years and I guess, could be considered an INSIDER.  The reason I’ve survived as
 
long as I have in this industry, and attained the level of success that I have is that I have always  taken the

time to educate my merchants on how the credit card processing industry works. I have always

preferred to function more as a consultant
,
and build a trusting relationship with my merchants. 

Unfortunately, that type of relationship is far too rare in this business.

            It amazes me how unscrupulous and unethical people in this business can be. You may never find

out how they’ve taken advantage of you until they've already gotten deep into your pockets.  I, on the other

hand, answer to a supreme authority, my Lord and Saviour, Jesue Christ. Some day, like everyone else on

this planet, we will be judged for our actions. I’m lookin’ for a good report!

 

           In my mind, there’s only one way to do business. Everything must be fully disclosed and treat people
 
the way you would want to be treated. The bottom line is this…all credit card processing companies have

the same costs direct from Visa and MasterCard
....EVERYBODY! The only thing that differs is their

overhead and how much profit they feel they need to make off of you. Honestly, the margin for profits are

really pretty slim.  Just to give you an idea, on a $100 transaction, my average client makes the processor

about $.35 (that's right thirty five cents)  of which, I get 70% (or about $.25) as my residual income.  The bulk

of the fees you pay go directly to the card-issuing entity....did you know that?

        Okay, with that in mind, like you, we’re in business to make a profit too. However, it should be a fair and
 
reasonable profit
, given the risks taken and costs incurred. I’m sure you’d agree with that, wouldn’t you? So,
 
get yourself into a position, of increased knowledge, to be sure that you’re getting a fair deal.  It's really just
 
that simple.
